    Solution Architect - Microsoft UCC

    Hi, I'm recruiting for a Major IT Services company who are looking to recruit 15 Technical Architects to work specifically with UCC based upon Microsoft Technologies.

     

     

    These are excellent career opportunities for experienced Microsoft Solutions Architects to play a key role in the architecting, design and delivery of our UCC (Unified Communications Collaboration) capabilities to blue chip global customers. The UCC Practice is one of the fastest growing parts of our Services and is central to our strategy to provide innovative solutions to large enterprise customers globally.  We are a member of the Microsoft Unified Messaging Advisory Group and works very closely with Microsoft on UCC solutions and capabilities.

    The successful candidates will provide strong technical expertise across a number of commercial, technical and cross-functional virtual teams and will work closely with both UK and Global Markets to deliver UCC programmes to drive new business revenues. The post holder will be part of the Architecture and Design community and will be assigned to the UCC Practice.

     

    You will support a range of assignments covering:

    • Qualification and Pre-Sales work with customers
    • Customer Consultancy
    • Architecture and Design of Solutions
    • Direction of delivery
    • Strategy development in the domain
    • Proposition and Capability Development in the domain
    • Thought-leadership
    • Internal liaison with channel and sales groups and related product areas
    • Supplier / Partner relationships

    Skills and experience required:

    This requirement is for individuals with a broad range of Microsoft UCC technology capability or in-depth product experience in at least one of the following:-  Microsoft OCS, Sharepoint 2007 Server, Exchange 2007 Server or Groove Server 2007. You will play a key role in supporting the Unified Communications/Collaborative Technologies strategy for UCC group as part of our Microsoft Alliance, architecting, designing and implementing Microsoft Collaborative Technologies.  

    In addition experience in some of the following is required:  

    • A background in Microsoft collaboration technologies
    • Microsoft Certifications (MCSE,MCSA, MCITP)
    • Microsoft Infrastructure Optimisation Experience (desirable)
    • Ability to show insight into the business potential of the combination of these technologies with, for example, voice solutions.
    • Experience of articulating requirements and developing new propositions and offerings
    • Successful track record in customer-facing enterprise pre-sales roles.
    • Ability to be both imaginative and practical in designing solutions for the customer
    • Strong presentational skills and experience of successful impact in customer engagements
    • Ability to understand financial profitability of entire solution and potential financial risk, able to balance business, technology and commercial risk.
    • Ability to be both imaginative and practical in designing solutions for the customer.
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

    We require confident domain experts with a strong business-orientation who are skilled at handling dialogue with customers at senior levels.  The successful candidate will be expected to travel the UK and other countries extensively based on customer requirements, and to meet with suppliers as required. This is an exciting varied role with the opportunity to work with a very high calibre knowledgeable team.

     

    Packages on offer are extremely competitive ranging from £55k to £100k depending on skills/experience.
